The U.S. government's Operation Warp Speed selected the company's COVID-19 vaccine candidate for funding and inclusion in a non-human primate challenge study. Vaxart's vaccine candidate was the only oral COVID-19 vaccine included. Vaxart expects to initiate its own phase 1 study of its COVID-19 vaccine in the second half of 2020.
